AWARE is taking significant steps to become a recognized charity. We are focused on enhancing and supporting animal welfare resources across Canada. Our mission is to promote education, foster innovative thinking, and assist in building careers in animal sciences and care.
We are dedicated to ensuring that all stakeholders, including owners of companion and working animals, contribute to the preservation of historical companion breeds. Our goal is to create a system that provides affordable and equitable access to essential animal welfare services.
We aim to nurture a sustainable and informed community that values the well-being of animals and recognizes their vital roles in companionship, service, and society. We also strive to support careers in animal sciences and care by funding education initiatives, fostering career development, and encouraging responsible stewardship.
AWARE is committed to strengthening the existing welfare system without resorting to exploitative or sensationalist tactics. Instead, we emphasize the importance of collaboration to build a stronger animal welfare framework.
Our approach is practical and solution-oriented. We seek to empower individuals, families, and communities to drive lasting positive change for animals and their caregivers. While we are not yet a registered charity, we are actively working toward that goal and look forward to making a meaningful difference soon.
